MUGA Multi Use Games Area
A MUGA is a sports court or block of courts that can be used for a variety of different sports and provides a cost-effective facility for schools, clubs, councils etc. where there is a wide range of sporting demands.
Academy Sports, Surrey provides a full design and build service for all MUGA (or Multi Use Games Area) construction projects. For the duration of the project we pay meticulous attention to detail and can help you take care of the court for its lifetime.
MUGA designs
A MUGA in its simplest form could be a single tennis court with lines also marked out for netball and/or basketball. The next level might be a block of three tennis and/or netball courts set side by side, but with a set of five-a-side soccer playing lines marked out longitudinally across all three tennis/netball courts.
At the top end, a MUGA could be a full sized synthetic grass hockey pitch, with markings for perhaps eight tennis courts, and five-a-side pitches running in alternate directions.
