MUGA Surface options

We provide a wide range of multi use games area (MUGA) surface options however it is important to consider the variety of uses that the court will receive as this will determine the most appropriate choice.

With our extensive experience in MUGA court design and build we can offer you impartial advice on the best options as well as highlight the compromises that must be made.

MUGA Court Surface considerations

An example of a MUGA surface choice compromise is where the court is intended for both football and netball. A synthetic grass surface might be ideal for football but unsuitable for netball. In fact, even the type of synthetic grass is important – a short pile carpet with no shockpad underneath is good for tennis but not for football where a shockpad is required to stop the ball bouncing too high.

It can therefore be seen that careful planning is required to determine which sport has priority (if any).
